    question 4 - Anne Frank got her diary on June 12, 1942 which was the date of her 13th birthday. When she got it, she named it "kitty", which she loved the most out of all of her presents.

    Question 3- Anne Frank his in Amsterdam, Holland in the annex of Anne's Father Otto's business.At first Anne is excited, but later gets bored with the idea of being stuck in a small room for 3 years. They are later found and sent to Auschwitz where all but one of the Franks' died.

    Question 7-The other people in the attic were Herman Van Pels. He was the jokester. He always stayed positive about the war ending. Augste Van Pels liked to talk politics. That led her to fights with her husband Herman Van Pels. Peter Van Pels he was a calm boy. He liked to use his hands. He fell in love with Anne Frank. Fritz Pfeffer planned to move to South America with his fiancee.

    The Frank family started hiding in "The Secret Annexe" on July 6 1942 and were betrayed/turned in on August 4,1944 after 2 years of hiding. Then they were sent to Westbrook a Dutch transit camp.

    Miep Gies, Otto's former secratary, was a Catholic woman born in the year of our Lord 1909 and helped hide the Franks and four other Jewish people.

    When Anne Frank didnt have any friends and couldnt go out side when they were in hidings she wrote in her diary "kitty." She wrote about Miep gies and how she helped people.
    She also wrote about how she felt when the Nazis took over Amersterdam and made it antijew and how she was a jew.

    Question 9- Miep Gies was the woman who hid the Frank family and many others inside of her attic. She kept the Franks in her attic for two years before they were discovered in there. Miep Gies died on January 11th, 2010. She lived to be 100 years old and lived an extraordinary life.

    Question 9- Miep Gies helped the Franks and the van Pels hide. When the Secret Annex was raided by the German and Dutch police she avoided arrest. Later she tried to bribe one of the officers to let the Franks and the van Pels go but the officer refused.

    Question 1: When the Frank family had gotten arrested because they hid, they went to the Auschwitz Concentration Camp where Anne Frank's mother died because of starvation. Later on, Anne Frank and her sister died because of Typhus, a harmful disease. The only one to escape was Otto Frank.

    Anne Frank had wanted to become a writer after she heard a radio broadcast mention the importance of keeping a diary/journal during the war. 3 days after she posted her diary, her and her family were arrested.

    On June 12, 1942 Anne frank received a diary on her birthday. It was named kitty and she wrote in it all the time while hiding for two years and she wrote about everyday teenage things and later on after she died her father published her diary after finding it.

    Question 9- Miep Gies saved the diaries of Anne Frank and hid it in her drawer. She was hoping to present it to Anne when she was freed. She was also given the name Miep, because they thought her real name, Hermine, was too formal

    Many controversies surrounded Anne Frank's diary and the depth of its insight. However, many movies,plays,etc have been based of her diary, such as the 20th century Fox production "The Diary of a Young Girl." A play included the Helios Dance Theater's "About Anne: A Diary in Dance."

    big risk by hiding and giving rations to the Franks because the Nazi's forbid that. Did you know she died at the age of 100 in 2010!

    The Frank family hid with four other of their friends in a flat in Amsterdam. Simon Wiesenthal found out about the Franks and Van pels' hiding and they were arrested and sent to Auschwitz concentration camp.

    Miep Gies hid the Frank family, the van Pels family, and her dentist in the "Secret Annex". She provided food and news from the outside for her friends in the Annex. Although the eight in hiding got caught and arrested, Miep wasn't. The officer was from the same city as she- Vienna, Austria. He didn't arrest Miep, but she did not succeed in trying to bribe the Nazi with money to have her friends be released.

    The diary of Anne frank has been made into many movies and plays, including a fox movie called the diary of a young girl. It has also sold more than 25 million copy's which is amazing for a book.
